Torontonians often refer to the Kew-Balmy-Beach as „The Beach“. The century old Kew Beach and the Balmy Beach were merged in 2006, creating a two kilometer long stretch of sand, park and boardwalk. It starts at the Kew Gardens and runs to the Silver Birch Avenue. It is the go-to spot during warm summer days, packed with paddleboarders, sunbathers and swimmers. A bandstand hosts several bands as well as the annual Jazz Festival. Right next door is the Woodbine Beach, that hosts a number of fun attractions.
